How do you change the world? Saltbox’s answer is ‘one life at a time.’

The Changing Futures team recently attended the civic prayer breakfast meeting at the Kings Hall in Stoke, which is a multi faith meeting that our partners at Saltbox began hosting in 2010 to bring together the various organisations locally to celebrate all the great work happening in the city and promote the fellowship and networking. To this day the civic prayer breakfast continues to provide the opportunity to meet with other great professional and voluntary groups, in 2022 300 people attended the event, which is now the largest of its kind in the country.

Saltbox, now in its 40th year, provides a number of services such as Carelink which provides support to elderly people who may be feeling lonely or isolated, Money Matters to help people experiencing financial difficulty and the Restart project that manages over 60 local properties providing support for 130 potentially homeless people.
