INSIGHT | Public Involvement Quality Recognition and Awards

Expert Citizens is a Community Interest Company led by people with lived experience of homelessness, mental ill-health, addiction, domestic abuse, poverty or histories of offending behaviour.

INSIGHT | Public Involvement Quality Recognition and Awards Programme

The INSIGHT | Public Involvement Quality Recognition and Awards Programme is a collaboration between Expert Citizens CIC and Keele University.  University Hospital of North Midlands and Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust helped us with piloting the programme.  Development is funded by NIHR through the Clinical Research Network for the West Midlands.

The Project aims to create the first UK co-produced Quality Recognition and Awards Programme that recognises, celebrates and shares how organisations and individuals involved the public in the design and delivery of health and care research.

The programme brings together two sets of standards,  the UK Standards for Public involvement and the model used in the Expert Citizens INSIGHT Evaluation Programme.

Bringing these two sets of standards together has formed the INSIGHT | Public Involvement Quality Recognition and Awards Programme.

Watch the presentation delivered by Professor Tony Fryer, Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at Keele University and
Andy Meakin, Director of Expert Citizens CIC below to find out more about this exciting project.
